As required by MCL 15.265(2), the Township posts its annual schedule of regular meetings physically at the Township Hall. Notices of special meetings, rescheduled meetings, and emergency meetings are also posted at the Township Hall in accordance with MCL 15.265(4).

Why This Website Is Not an “Official Internet Presence” Under OMA:

Per MCL 15.265(4) and MCL 15.263a(4), the obligation to post special or rescheduled meeting notices online only applies if the Township “maintains an official internet presence that includes monthly or more frequent updates of public meeting agendas or minutes.” This website does not post agendas or minutes monthly or more often, and therefore is not considered the Township’s “official internet presence” for online posting requirements.

Minutes Availability (Not a Web-Posting Requirement):

Per MCL 15.269, proposed minutes must be available for public inspection within 8 business days after the meeting, and approved minutes within 5 business days after approval. These are made available at the Township Hall — OMA does not require minutes to be posted online.
